Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information TCM-P092813
Condition
The gear selector module (GSM) is located under the top panel of the lever carrier. The gear selector module (GSM) communicates with the transmission control module (TCM) via an internal network, Local Interconnect Network (LIN), for activating the gear inhibitor function (shift lock). If the gear selector module (GSM) registers that the circuit to solenoid P-detent is open when the output on the solenoid power stage is inactive, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

- Gear selector blocked.
Possible Source
- Contact resistance in the terminals
- Open circuit in signal or ground lead.
- Internal fault in gear selector module (GSM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
- General warning lamp lit
- Gear selector stuck in position P.
