Driver Information Module (Dim) [2014-2018]: Function: Speedometer

The speedometer displays the actual speed the car is traveling at.

Information on speed comes from the pulser connected to the brake control module (BCM) (4/16). The brake control module (BCM) (4/16) calculates a speed on the signals that the pulsers send from the two front wheels. The calculated speed signals are then sent from the brake control module (BCM) to the central electronic module (CEM) (4/56) and the central electronic module (CEM) sends these signals on to the driver information module (DIM) (5/1).

Driving school mode 

Using this function, the customer can use the MyCar menu to show the speed in ICM.
