Checking The Component

HINT: The fault may be due to a defective cooling fan for the control modules. If diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-6220 is stored it must be remedied first. 

Activate the cooling fan for the control modules. Check the function. There must be a buzzing noise from the cooling fan when the fan for the control modules is activated.

Check that the air ducts for the control module box are not blocked.

Remedy as necessary.
