Power Lumbar Support (Option)
- Lumbar support motor
- Control module lumbar support
- Keypad lumbar support
On the XC60 (MY 2012-), with option Inscription manual lumbar support adjustment has been replaced with powered lumbar support adjustment in the front seats. The lumbar support is adjusted by a separate keypad in the front part of the seat's side panel. As the system for power lumbar support is not integrated with the PSM (Power Seat Module) it is neither part of the PSM memory function.
Power lumbar support adjustment has its own separate control module that regulates the motor. The motor has a PTC resistor next to it instead of a position sensor, which prevents the motor becoming overloaded at the limit positions for example.
The powered lumbar support is regulated via separate wiring that runs from the CJB (fusebox under the dashboard) to the seat. The wiring in the seat is further integrated with the seat wiring, but not electrically.
On vehicles with structure week 201346- the lumbar support is powered and grounded internally in the seat wiring.
For further information, see appropriate wiring diagram manual.
