Description Of Reading Off Extended Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
DESCRIPTION OF STATUS IDENTIFIER
DESCRIPTION OF FROZEN VALUES
EXPLANATION
Frozen values are parameter values that are stored when a diagnostic trouble code is stored. Not all parameters can be read off for all diagnostic trouble codes. The parameter values can only be read off where they can provide more information about the prevailing circumstances when the diagnostic trouble code was set.
GLOBAL PARAMETERS
DESCRIPTION OF GLOBAL PARAMETERS
POWER SUPPLY, VALUE
Measurement range: 0 - 20.4 V.
The value indicates the power supply to the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) when the DTC was stored.
TEMPERATURE IN THE CONTROL MODULE, VALUE
Measurement range: -40 - 215 °C.
The value indicates the temperature registered by the internal thermistor of the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) when the DTC was set.
VEHICLE SPEED, VALUE
Measurement range: 0 - 255 km/h (158 mph).
The value indicates the vehicle speed when the DTC was set. The speed signal is sent from the brake control module (BCM) via the CAN to the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM).
STEERING, TORQUE
Measurement range -12.7 - 12.8 Nm
Shows the current electric motor torque when the DTC was set.
