NOTE: Whenever wheels or tire pressures are changed, the Tire Monitoring System must be recalibrated. See RESET PROCEDURES .

Volvo provides two different systems to monitor tire pressure: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) or Tire Monitor. The TPMS (Direct System) uses pressure sensors mounted in the tires, and the Tire Monitor system (Indirect System) uses the ABS to remotely determine tire pressure. TPMS is equipped in vehicles sold in Canada, and Tire Monitor systems are installed in vehicles sold in America.
