- PDS2 Software (T5 and T6)
What is necessary software?
- Software to support a Recall, Service Action or Campaign
- Software to support a repair (part replacement or TJ)
- PDS2 software on all iCup (Android Automotive) vehicles = XC40/C40 - BEV & MY 2022 XC60 and S/V90
What can happen if software is downloaded (on T5 and T6 vehicles)?
- Possible "Start/Stop Support Battery Service Required" message in DIM (Driver Information Module)
- Possible "Park Assist System Temporarily Unavailable" message in DIM (Driver Information Module).
- If the customer presses the circle button on the steering wheel to clear the message these symptoms should subside for the drive cycle.
What should the workshop do if they encounter this issue?
- Verify the vehicle is in the affected range and symptom has occurred after a recent Software download.
- Check support battery voltage in Vida -> Service Functions -> 12 V Power overview
- If 12.5 volts or higher release vehicle
- If less than 12.5 volts, recharge and release vehicle
When will this be resolved?
- Good news is that we have identified the root cause
- We expect to have a software solution in the near future (exact timing TBD)
If additional support is required, please submit a vehicle report support needed.
