Auxiliary Telematics Module (ATM) (4/373) [2019-2022]: Description
The Auxiliary Telematics Module (ATM) is used for the remote service and management system for electric vehicles (RMS) function. It is a legal requirement in China.
The ATM collects data from specific nodes in the vehicle and sends the data to the RMS cloud.
The ATM has its own SIM card, GPS and GPRS antenna and a SD card which it uses as a buffer to store data between uploads. The ATM also has an internal rechargeable backup battery which will power the ATM for 30 minutes in case of power supply failure.
