Connection And Communication

The multiband antenna module MAM is a LIN slave and communicates with the Central Electronic Module (CEM). The multiband antenna module MAM is directly connected to the Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM).

1.  Telephone 2G/3G/LTE1 (hardwired to Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM))

2.  TPMS/remote control key (K-line 0 to Central Electronic Module (CEM))

3.  GPS/GNSS (hardwired to Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM))

4.  Satellite radio/DAB1 (hardwired to Infotainment Head Unit (IHU))

5.  LTE2 (4G) (hardwired to Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM))

6.  External and internal Wi-Fi (hardwired to Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM))

Each antenna part is supplied with voltage from the relevant receiver such as the Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM), Central Electronic Module (CEM) and Infotainment Head Unit (IHU), which means that the voltage goes in one direction and the signal in the other direction.
