Component Test: Trunk Lid Lock [2019-2022]
COMPONENT TEST
NOTE:
It is assumed that wires and connectors related to the component are checked and fault free.
To check the switches:
- Check the parameter for the switches in the components.
- The primary switch must be closed when the tailgate is in its inner locked position.
- The secondary switch must be closed when the tailgate is in its inner or outer locked position.
- The switch for the closing motor must be closed when the closing motor has returned to its standby mode after drawing in the tailgate.
HINT: If valet locking is active neither the glove box nor tailgate can be opened. First ensure that valet locking is not activated by trying to open the glove box.
To check the unlocking motor:
- Check the parameter for the switch to the Central Electronic Module (CEM) that indicates that the tailgate is closed.
- Use the activation option in VIDA to activate power supply of the components.
