REMOVAL
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
INFORMATION
APPLIES TO POLESTAR
This component must not be adjusted.
ALL VEHICLES
Remove shock absorber fork. Refer to: [SHOCK ABSORBER FORK]
VEHICLES WITHOUT POLESTAR CHASSIS (VARIANT CODE RA09)
Remove the screws.
Remove the marked part.
VEHICLES WITH POLESTAR CHASSIS (VARIANT CODE RA09)
Perform shock absorber, adjustment. Refer to: [SHOCK ABSORBER, ADJUSTMENT]
Remove the marked part.
Torque: Shock absorber adjusting screw, 13Nm
Remove the screws.
Remove the marked part.
ALL VEHICLES
If necessary
Remove part of component according to image.
APPLIES TO POLESTAR
Only use the specified special tool.
Install the tool.
ALL VEHICLES
Make sure that the component is positioned correctly.
Special Tool: 999 7621 Position adjuster
The safety wire must be installed while the spring is compressed.
Special Tool: 951 2911 Hydraulic piston Special Tool: 999 7569 Claw Special Tool: 999 7477 Wire
Remove the nut.
Special Tool: 999 5500 SOCKET UPPER NUT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
Torque: Bearing front shock absorber to shock absorber, 60Nm
Take extra care when handling the compressed spring.
INSTALLATION
Make sure that the component is positioned correctly.
The component can only be installed in 1 position.
Make sure that the spring is correctly located in the lower spring seat.
Install the screws.
APPLIES TO THE LEFT-HAND SIDE:
Make sure that the installation marks are aligned.
Locate relevant marking.
APPLIES TO THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE
Make sure that the installation marks are aligned.
Locate relevant marking.
Make sure at the installation that the component has not become twisted.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Make sure that the component is centered.
The image content (components etc.) may vary depending on equipment level or for other reasons.
Torque: Front shock absorber bearing, to Body, 24Nm
