Inverter Generator Module (IGM) (4/236) [2019-2022, B4204T28 | 2020-2022, B4204T39]: Description

The Inverter Generator Module (IGM) controls the power to and from the integrated starter and generator ISG. This is done by a conversion from DC voltage to three-phase AC voltage or from a three-phase AC voltage to DC voltage.

The Inverter Generator Module (IGM) converts and transfers power to both the high voltage battery and the 12 V battery. The control module contains a DC to DC converter which replaces the standard function of an alternator. The Inverter Generator Module (IGM) converts the power from the high voltage battery to 12 V in order to charge the main battery.
