SERVICE

Radio frequency interference can hinder the remote programming process.

Make sure no devices are plugged into the 12v power outlet in the center console during the remote key programming process as some aftermarket devices may cause radio interference.

Model Year-2019: 

Programming of keys with SRS made powerless: 

1. Download the "Keyless vehicle key application"  SW.
2. When prompted, Place the key to be programmed in the cup holder according to picture TJ 31698.jpg. 
   NOTE: The slider button shall point upwards and to the front of the car.
3. Before clicking the "Start Programming"  button, remove power from the SRS by removing fuse BF52  in EJB (15/49) and fuse DF26  in RJB (15/51).
4. Proceed with all intended key programming.
5. Re-insert the SRS fuses, and end the key programming session by clicking on the "Close  " button.
6. If the SRS warning light is still lit after VIDA has erased the DTCs, then go to "Software  " tab -> "Advanced Test"  and click on the "Reset  " button, and erase the DTCs afterwards.

Model Year 2020- 

For Model Year 2020, the SRS module is powered directly from the CEM and there is no serviceable fuse. Successful programming can be accomplished by doing the following:

1. Unfasten the floor console from the car body (Location of the securing screws can be found in VI DA instructions for removal of Floor Console - do not remove the console from the vehicle). 
2. Download the "Keyless vehicle key application"  software.
3. Before clicking the "Start Programming"  button have an assistant lift the rear of the console several inches/centimeters from the car body as shown in attachment TJ31698 2.JPG 
4. When prompted, Place the key to be programmed in the cup holder according to picture TJ 31698.jpg. 
   NOTE: The slider button shall point upwards and to the front of the car.
5. Proceed to program all new keys in this manner and end the key programming session by clicking on the "Close  " button.
6. Re-assemble the floor console to the vehicle.
