- Disconnect the PCM from the vehicle harness.

NOTE: This erases continuous memory, and sets the P1000 code.

- Measure the resistance from PIP jack to Pin 56 at the PCM breakout box.

- Is resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes -- GO to Z179. Z179

No -- SERVICE open in PIP circuit harness.
