Dashpot System

  1. Check vacuum hose for blockage or leaks. Disconnect vacuum hose from dashpot. Connect vacuum pump/gauge to diaphragm vacuum supply hose. Apply vacuum and check that vacuum slowly decreases.
  2. If vacuum holds steady or decreases rapidly, replace dashpot check valve and retest. Connect vacuum pump/gauge directly to diaphragm fitting. Apply vacuum. Ensure that rod pulls in and vacuum holds. If not, replace diaphragm and retest.
