Removal & Installation

  1. Remove distributor cap. Disconnect wiring from distributor. Reference mark distributor rotor-to-distributor housing. Reference mark distributor housing position-to-engine. Remove distributor hold-down bolt and lift out distributor.
  2. DO NOT  crank engine with distributor removed or reference marks will be lost. Lubricate and install new "O" ring to distributor. Install distributor using reference marks while also ensuring protrusions of distributor align with indentations on camshaft. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
