Idle Speed: Notes

Idle speed is controlled by Electronic Air Control Valve (EACV) and fast idle control valve. EACV varies amount of air by-passing into intake manifold according to input signals received from ECU. When EACV is activated, valve operates to maintain proper idle speed.

On Integra, a dashpot is used to slow down the closing of throttle valve during gear shifting (M/T) or deceleration.
