IGNITOR Unit

Battery voltage is supplied through ignition switch, to ignition coil and ignitor unit. The PGM-FI control unit uses input signals from TDC/crank (or crank/CYL) sensor, throttle angle sensor, coolant sensor and MAP sensor to directly activate the ignitor. When activated, ignitor triggers ignition coil(s). On Integra and Vigor, induced voltage from ignition coil is then distributed to each spark plug by the distributor.
