Ignition Timing Adjuster
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1991 Acura Legend. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Disconnect ignition timing adjuster 3-pin connector at right side of firewall. See Fig 1 . Measure resistance between "A" and "C" terminals of ignition timing adjuster.
- Resistance should be 3500-6500 ohms. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace ignition timing adjuster.
- If resistance is within specification, measure and record resistance between "A" and "B" terminals on timing adjuster side of harness. Measure and record resistance between "B" and "C" terminals on same side of connector. Add resistance values together. If total of resistance values is not 3000-6000 ohms, replace ignition timing adjuster.
