Using ABS Tester

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Block wheels, and set parking brake. Connect ABS Tester (07HAJ-SG0010B) to 6-pin inspection connector. See Figure . Ensure vehicle is on level ground and automatic transmission is in Park or manual transmission is in Neutral.
  2. Fill modulator reservoir to MAX level. Bleed high-pressure fluid from maintenance bleeder screw. See Figure . Start engine, and release parking brake. Turn ABS tester mode selector to "2" position. Depress brake pedal firmly and press START TEST button.
  3. At least 2 strong kickbacks should be felt from brake pedal. Repeat procedure in ABS tester mode selector positions "3", "4" and "5". If kickbacks are not felt, repeat step  2 .
  4. Fill modulator reservoir to MAX level. Perform system function test. See ABS FUNCTION TEST  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
