Seat Recline Memory Limit Switch

NOTE: When a motor stops running, disconnect power immediately.
  1. Remove the driver's seat. Disconnect the recline memory sensor 2-pin connector and recline motor and limit switch 4-pin connector.
  2. Using jumper wires, apply battery power to the recline motor. If recline motor does not run, reverse jumper wires. If recline motor still does not run, replace recline motor. Check for continuity between the recline memory sensor 2-pin connector terminals when seat is moved through the full recline range. When seat angle is within 25 degrees of forward recline stop ("A" in illustration), continuity should exist. See Fig 1 . When seat angle is more than 25 degrees of forward recline stop ("B" in illustration), continuity should not exist. If continuity is not as specified, replace recline motor.
