Inspection Points

  1. ANTILOCK, ABS or ABS icon indicator light illuminates in mode 1. Check wiring. If wiring is in good condition, ABS control unit is faulty. If ANTILOCK, ABS or ABS icon indicator light illuminates 120 seconds later but pump motor stops, see Figure -Figure .
  2. If there are no kickback in modes 2 through 5. Pressure switch faulty (remains ON). Check for shorted wires, faulty or disconnected pump motor connector or faulty pump motor relay.
  3. If weak kickback in modes 2 through 5. Bleed high pressure circuits. See BLEEDING  .
  4. Pump motor stops in mode 1, but it does not stop and there are no kickback in modes 2 through 5. Check for brake fluid leakage. Bleed power unit. See BLEEDING  . Check for clogged power unit outlet or clogged or deteriorated power unit hose.
