Bench Testing: Stator

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2004 Acura 3.5RL, 2003 Acura 3.5RL, 2002 Acura 3.5RL, 2001 Acura 3.5RL, and 2000 Acura 3.5RL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Check that there is continuity between each pair of leads. See Fig 1.
Check that there is no continuity between each lead and the coil core.
If the coil fails either continuity check, replace the alternator.
