Mode Control Motor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1999 Acura 3.0CL and 1999 Acura 2.3CL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect mode control motor 7-pin connector. Connect battery voltage to mode control motor terminal No. 1, and ground terminal No. 7. See Fig 1 . Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 7 and terminals No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 individually, in order. Mode control motor should run and stop.
NOTE: If mode control motor does not run when jumping terminal No. 1, jump terminal No. 1 again after jumping all others. Mode control motor is okay if it runs after jumping terminal No. 1 again.
  2. If mode control motor still does not run, remove mode control motor. Check mode control motor linkage and doors for smooth operation. If doors and linkage are okay, replace mode control motor.
