Sunlight Sensor Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Acura 3.2TL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Carefully pry sunlight sensor from left speaker grille. Turn ignition on. Without disconnecting connector, measure voltage between sensor terminals with positive lead on Orange/White wire terminal and negative lead on Black/Green wire terminal. If voltage is not 3.5-3.9 volts or greater out of direct sunlight, replace sensor. If voltage is not 3.4-3.8 volts or less in direct sunlight, replace sensor.
