Trunk Latch Switch Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1998 Acura 3.5RL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Open trunk lid and remove trunk lid inner trim. Disconnect trunk latch Gray 6-pin connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between trunk switch connector terminals No. 2 (Blue/Green wire) and No. 6 (Black/Red wire). See Fig 1 . Continuity should exist when trunk lid lever is released (trunk lid open). Continuity should not exist when trunk lid lever is depressed (trunk lid closed). If continuity is not as specified, replace trunk latch switch.
