Preliminary Checks

Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Remove instrument cluster from instrument panel. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster Green 22-pin "A" connector and Green 30-pin "B" connector. Check for bent, corroded, loose or disconnected terminals in connectors. Repair connectors as necessary and recheck system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. If all safety indicator input tests are okay, replace instrument cluster printed circuit board. See Fig 1 .
