Control Unit Input Test

  1. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Turn ignition off. Remove instrument panel lower left cover. Remove left knee bolster. Cruise control unit is located near left kick panel. See Figure .
  2. Disconnect cruise control unit 14-pin connector. Ensure connector and terminals are okay. Repair as necessary and retest system. If connector and terminals are okay, use a DVOM to perform cruise control unit input tests. See Fig 1 . If an input test indicates a problem, find and correct cause and retest system. If all input test results are okay, replace cruise control unit.
