Driver's Multiplex Control Unit-To-Passenger's Multiplex Control Unit
- Turn ignition off. Remove driver's underdash fuse/relay box. See DRIVER'S UNDERDASH FUSE/RELAY BOX under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove driver's multiplex control unit from driver's underdash fuse/relay box. Remove passenger's underdash fuse/relay box. See PASSENGER'S UNDERDASH FUSE/RELAY BOX under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove passenger's door multiplex control unit from passenger's underdash fuse/relay box. Go to next step.
- Disconnect all multiplex control unit connectors. Check continuity in Pink wire between driver's multiplex control unit 22-pin harness connector "B" terminal No. 1 and passenger's multiplex control unit 22-pin harness connector "B" terminal No. 9. See Figure andFigure . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Pink wire. After repairs, recheck DTCs.
- Reconnect driver's multiplex control unit to driver's underdash fuse/relay box and passenger's multiplex control unit to passenger's underdash fuse/relay box. Reconnect all multiplex control unit connectors. Turn ignition on. Backprobing, check voltage at driver's multiplex control unit 22-pin connector "B" terminal No. 1 (Pink wire) and passenger's multiplex control unit 22-pin connector "B" terminal No. 9 (Pink wire). Voltage should be 3-10 volts. If voltage is as specified, communication line between driver's multiplex control nut and passenger's multiplex control unit is okay, check system sleep and wake-up mode operation. Go to SLEEP & WAKE-UP FUNCTION . If voltage is not as specified, go to next step.
- If voltage is 10 volts or more, check for short to power or faulty connector connection at receiving multiplex control unit. If voltage is 3 volts or less, check for short to ground or faulty connector connection at transmitting multiplex control unit. If circuit and connector are okay, check for malfunctioning transmitting multiplex control unit. Repair as necessary. After repairs, recheck DTCs.
