Gearshift Lever Position Indicator Input

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Acura 3.2TL and 2002 Acura 3.2TL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect instrument cluster 30-pin connector "A" and 14-pin connector "C". Inspect connectors and terminals. Check for bent, loose or corroded terminals. Perform gearshift lever position indicator input test "A". See Fig 1. Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If gearshift lever position indicator inputs are okay, go to next step.
  2. Reconnect instrument cluster 30-pin connector "A" and 14-pin connector "C". Perform input test "B" as specified at back side of instrument cluster (backprobe). See Fig 1. Repair as necessary. If no problems are found, replace instrument cluster printed circuit board and recheck system.
