Safety Indicator Input

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Acura 3.2TL and 2002 Acura 3.2TL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Disconnect instrument cluster 30-pin connector "A" and 14-pin connector "C". Check for bent, corroded, loose or disconnected terminals in connectors. Repair connectors as necessary and recheck system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform safety indicator input test "A". Test each specified circuit for continuity or battery voltage as indicated. Correct any problems as directed and recheck system. If no problems are found, go to next step. See Fig 1.
  3. Reconnect instrument cluster 30-pin connector "A" and 14-pin connector "C" and perform test "B" (backprobe). See Fig 1. Test each circuit for continuity or battery voltage as indicated. Correct any problems as directed and recheck system. If no problems are found, replace instrument cluster printed circuit board and recheck system.
