Keyless Receiver Unit Input Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Acura 3.2TL and 2002 Acura 3.2TL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the glove box and glove box cover.
  2. Disconnect the 7-pin connector from the keyless receiver unit. See Fig 1 .
  3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system. If the terminals are okay, go to next step.
  4. With the connector still disconnected, make the following input tests at the connector. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system. If all the input tests prove okay, replace the keyless receiver unit.
