Checking Fluid Level

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 11 other vehicles, including the 2000 Honda Prelude, 2000 Honda Odyssey, 2000 Honda Civic, 2000 Honda CR-V, and 2000 Honda Accord. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Some applications may be equipped with a separate dipstick and tube assembly in addition to a fill hole/plug. Fluid checking procedure is the same for both applications.

Ensure vehicle is on level surface and at normal operating temperature. Turn engine off. Within one minute after turning engine off, remove transaxle dipstick and wipe it clean. Re-insert dipstick into filler hole or dipstick tube and check fluid level. Fluid level should be between upper and lower marks on dipstick.
