NOTE:
Switch may also be referred to as mode switch or gear position switch. Some models use PCM to monitor switch operation. Switches on these models may not be adjustable, and will set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
