Hood Switch

Open hood. Disconnect hood switch 2-pin harness connector. See Fig 1 . Using a DVOM, check continuity between connector terminals. If no continuity exists, replace faulty hood switch. If continuity exists, press hood switch lever down (closed position) and check continuity between connector terminals. If continuity exists, replace faulty hood switch.
