Lateral Acceleration Sensor
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION:
Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
CAUTION:
Do not use an impact wrench. For accurate reading, the vehicle must be level.
- Remove the sensor canter console panel. Remove the lateral acceleration sensor from the left lower side with the connector connected. See Fig 1 .
- Turn the ignition switch ON. Measure the voltage between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground. See Fig 2
.
- When the connector side is level, the voltage is about 2.5 V.
- When the connector side is facing up, the voltage is about 3.5 V.
- When the connector side is facing down, the voltage is about 1.5 V.
- If the voltage is not as specified, replace the lateral acceleration sensor. After replacing the lateral acceleration sensor, perform the neutral position memorization. See STEERING ANGLE SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION CHECK & MEMORIZING under PROGRAMMING.
