Service Check Signal (SCS) Circuit Method

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Acura 3.2CL and 2002 Acura 3.2CL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: To ensure accuracy, the vehicle must be level.
  1. Clear the DTC. Short the Service Check Signal circuit. See SERVICE CHECK SIGNAL (SCS) CIRCUIT METHOD  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. Release the parking brake. Press the brake pedal and hold it.
  2. Turn the ignition switch ON. After the ABS indicator goes off, apply the parking brake, release the parking brake, and apply it again.
  3. The VSA activation indicator blinks twice in 2 seconds, and the indicator goes off. If the indicator does not go off, repeat from the first step.
  4. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then remove the Honda PGM Tester from the data link connector.
