Safety Indicator Input Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Acura 3.2CL and 2002 Acura 3.2CL. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the gauge assembly (see GAUGE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Disconnect the 30P connector A and 14P connector C from the gauge assembly.
  3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
    • If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
    • If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.

  4. Make these input tests at the connectors.
    • If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
    • If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 5.

  5. Reconnect the connectors to the gauge assembly, and perform the following input tests at the appropriate connector.
    • If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
    • If all the input tests prove OK, the gauge internal circuit must be faulty.
