OnStar Button Test
- Remove the roof console (see FRONT INDIVIDUAL MAP LIGHT TEST ).
- Disconnect the 20P connector (A) from the roof console (B).
- Measure the resistance between the roof console 20P connector No. 13 and No. 14 terminals. There should be about 4 k Ω. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the roof console. If OK, go to step 4.
- Measure the resistance between roof console 20P connector No. 13 and No. 2 terminals, and No. 14 and No. 2 terminals individually. If there is continuity, replace the roof console. If there is no continuity, go to step 5.
- Measure resistance between the roof console 20P connector No. 13 and No. 14 terminals with each button pressed according to ROOF CONSOLE 20P CONNECTOR NO. 13 AND NO. 14

Button pressed Resistance ONSTAR EMERGENCY About 201 Ω ONSTAR SERVICE About 402 Ω CALL ANSWER/CALL END About 804 Ω VOICE ACTIVATED KEYPAD About 1554 Ω - If the resistance is not as specified, replace the roof console.
