Alternator Removal and Installation: Installation

Install the three bolts securing the alternator.

Connect the alternator connector (A) and BLK wire (B) from the alternator.

Install the auto-tensioner (see DRIVE BELT AUTO-TENSIONER REPLACEMENT ).
Install the drive belt (see DRIVE BELT INSPECTION ).
Connect the positive cable to the battery first, then the connect negative cable.
Enter the anti-theft codes for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
Set the clock.
Do the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM) idle learn procedure.

Do the power window control unit reset procedure (see RESETTING THE POWER WINDOW CONTROL UNIT ).
