Distance Switch Test

  1. Remove the driver's airbag (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Disconnect the 20P connector (A) from the cable reel.

  3. Check for continuity between the 20P connector No. 5 and No. 14 terminals.
    • There should be continuity with the distance switch pressed.
    • There should be no continuity with the distance switch released.
  4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the cruise control combination switch assembly (see CRUISE CONTROL COMBINATION SWITCH TEST  ).
