Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation

  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  2. Remove the glove box housing (see GLOVE BOX HOUSING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Remove the throttle actuator control module (see APP SENSOR REPLACEMENT ).
  4. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the climate control unit (B), then remove the wire harness clip (C), the self-tapping screws and the climate control unit.

  5. Install the control unit in the reverse order of removal. After installation, operate the control switch assembly controls to see whether it works properly.
  6. Run the self-diagnostic function to confirm that there are no problems in the system (see HOW TO CHECK FOR DTCS WITH THE HDS  ).
