DTC U128B: Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with Power Control Unit

NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see
TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
)
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS
- Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF, ACC, ON, and OFF mode
- Wait for at least 6 seconds
- Check for DTCs with the HDS
Is DTC U128B indicated?
YES -Go to the power control unit input test, and do all power, ground, and communication input tests (see POWER CONTROL UNIT ) If the tests prove OK, replace the power control unit (see POWER CONTROL UNIT )
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time Check for loose or poor connections at power control unit connector C (36P) and the related units
