Imoes Unit Input Test
- Remove the audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the passenger's front console cover (see
CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).NOTE: If necessary, remove the glove box (see GLOVE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ) to make a space to see the imoes unit from the front passenger's side.
- Disconnect the 5P connector (A) from the imoes unit (B).
- Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to step 5.
- With the connector still disconnected, make these input tests at the connector.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 6.

- Immobilizer control unit-receiver 7P connector
- Keyless Access control unit connector A(31P)
Measure the voltage on the circuit:
There should be no voltage.Short to power in the wire Check for continuity to ground: There should be to continuity. Short to ground in the wire Check for continuity between terminal No. 2 and PCM connector E (31P) terminal No. 25:
There should be continuity. An open in the wire Check for continuity between terminal No. 2 and immobilizer control unit-receiver 7P connector terminal No. 2: There should be continuity. Check for continuity between terminal No. 2 and keyless access control unit connector A (31P) terminal No. 7: There should be continuity. - Reconnect the connector to the unit, turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and do these input tests at the connector.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, replace the imoes unit (see IMOES UNIT REPLACEMENT ).
