DTC U0199: Lost Communication with P/W (DR Lock SW Frame)
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see
TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
)
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then the ON mode
- Wait for 6 seconds or more
- Check for DTCs with the HDS
Is DTC U0199 indicated?
YES -Go to step 5
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time Check for loose or poor connections between the power seat control unit and the door multiplex control unit
- From the BODY ELECTRICAL system select menu, select UNIT INFORMATION, and then select CONNECTED UNIT
Is the power window master switch (door multiplex control unit) detected?
YES -Go to the power seat control unit input test (see POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST/REPLACEMENT )
NO -Go to step 6
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode
- Disconnect the door multiplex control unit 37P connector
- Disconnect power seat control unit connector B (40P)
- Check for continuity between power seat control unit connector B (40P) terminals No 39 and No 40 and door multiplex control unit 37P connector terminals No 33 and No 35 individuallyFig 1: Checking Continuity Between Power Seat Control Unit Connector B (40P) And Door Multiplex Control Unit 37P Connector

Is there continuity?
YES -Replace the door multiplex control unit (see REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST )
NO -Open or poor connection in the wire between the door multiplex control unit and the power seat control unit
