Ignition Key Switch Test

NOTE: SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, and precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or servicing.

1. Remove the steering column upper and lower covers Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the 6P connector (A).






3. Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. with the ignition key in each condition according to the table.






4. If the continuity is not as specified, the ignition key switch is faulty; replace the steering lock Service and Repair.
