Security Hood Switch Test

Remove the hood latch cover. See step 2 on HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT .
Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the hood switch (B).

Check for continuity between the terminals.
There should be continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is opened (latch released). There should be no continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is closed (latch pushed down).
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the security hood switch.
