Yaw Rate-Acceleration Sensor Replacement
NOTE:
- Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
- Do not use power tools.
- Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).
- Remove the center console panel (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the shift lever mounting bolts (see step 7 on SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL
).NOTE: Only remove items needed to gain access.
- Remove the shift lever bracket base mounting bolts, and then disconnect the yaw rate-acceleration sensor 5P connector (A).
- Pull out the shift lever bracket base (B) with the yaw rate-acceleration sensor (C).
- Remove the yaw rate-acceleration sensor mounting bolts, then remove the yaw rate-acceleration sensor from the shift lever bracket base.
- Install the yaw rate-acceleration sensor in the reverse order of removal.
- Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization (see VSA SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION MEMORIZATION ).
- Do the yaw rate-acceleration neutral position memorization for SH-AWD system (see SH-AWD® DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH TORQUE MEMORIZATION ).
