Security Hood Switch Test
- Open the hood then remove the bulkhead cover (see
ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER REPLACEMENT
).
- Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the security hood switch.

- Check for continuity between the terminals.
- There should be continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is opened (latch released).
- There should be no continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is closed (latch pushed down).
- If the continuity is not as specified, the switch is faulty; replace the hood latch (see
HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT
).
