Wheel Alignment: Inspection
Use a commercially available computerized four wheel alignment equipment to measure wheel alignment (caster, camber, toe, and turning angle). Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
- Front Caster - Inspect

- Check the front caster.
Normal Conditions (Front Caster Angle)
Specifications 5° 05 '+/-30 ' ■ Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, check for bent or damaged suspension components.
■ After Inspection
- Inspect the front camber.

1. Check the front camber.
Normal Conditions (Front Camber Angle)
Specifications -0° 12 '+/-30 ' Normal Conditions (Maximum Difference Between Right and Left Side)
Specifications 45 ' 2. Check the rear camber angle.
Normal Conditions (Rear Camber Angle)
Specifications -1° 00 '+/-30 ' Normal Conditions (Maximum Difference Between Right and Left Side)

- Front Camber
- If the measurement is not within specifications, adjust the front camber.
- Rear Camber
- If the measurement is not within specifications, check for bent or damaged suspension components.
■ After Inspection
- Inspect the rear toe.
- Front Camber
- Rear Toe - Inspect

NOTE: Do the rear toe inspection before the front toe inspection.- Check the rear toe.
Normal Conditions (Rear Total Toe-In)
Specifications 2 +/- 2 mm (0.08 +/- 0.08 in) ■ Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, adjust the rear toe adjustment.
■ After Inspection
- Inspect the front toe.
- Front Toe - Inspect

NOTE: Do the rear toe inspection before the front toe inspection.1. Center the steering wheel spokes, and hold it.
2. Check the front toe with the wheels pointed straight ahead.
Normal Conditions (Front Total Toe-In)
Specifications 0 +/- 2 mm (0 +/- 0.08 in) ■ Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, adjust the front toe.
■ After Inspection
- Remove the alignment equipment, and measure the turning angle.
- Turning Angle - Inspect
■ Preconditions
■ Procedure/Specifications
- Turn the wheel right and left while applying the brake, and measure the turning angle of both wheels.
Normal Conditions (Turning Angle)
Check Item Specifications Inward 37° 00 '+/-2° Check Item Specifications Outward (reference) 30° 12 '+/-1° Result
- If the measurement is not within specifications, even up both sides of the tie-rod threaded section while adjusting the front toe. If they are even, but the turning angle is not within the specifications, check for bent or damaged suspension components.
